Our Revenue: 43.433.803.191,67 Euros per Year

Hey folks,

in this article I will give you some insights in the business process and the idea behind CyMaIS/Infinito.Nexus and how we will reach an revenue of 43.433.803.191,67 Euros per year.

If you directly want to jump to our calculation click here.

I publish this on my private blog to use the possibility of giving you private insights into the founding and the development process of this software.

I will mention some people which played a key role in supporting me this year on my adventures journey of reshaping the Internet and establishing a software solution which will challenge big tech.

I can’t mention everybody in this article who played a role in this project. Special thanks my COO and CTO. Without the ideas and the toolset which my CTO, and the believe and the pushes which my COO gave me. We wouldn’t be at the state where we are right now. Also a lot of thanks to Aleksandra which is a already a part of this project since a few months.

I also want to say thanks to all my friends which had been really supportive, maybe didn’t understand the idea fully, but believed in me and cheered me up during the exhausting phases of this project.

Off course I developed the most of the software, but if you recognized it or not; At the end it was a team effort. Without your support it wouldn’t had been possible to develop such an complex software solution.

2025-07-22 Daily standup 🙂

But let’s start…

Current State

Current SSO Interface of CyMaIS/Infinito.Nexus

CyMaIS/Infinito.Nexus is the only software on the market, which offers the same solution stack like Microsoft – We are the only software on the market which is a major hazard for Microsoft. One Single Sign On interface with all software on board which Enterprises need to manage their Institution. Videoconference, Cloud, Mail, Collaboration, CRM, Wiki, Project Management, CMS etc – All behind one Single Sign on Interface. Besides this we offer Social Media Solutions which are a hazard for the business models of Meta, Alpha and partially Amazon. Our software is open source and currently the biggest hazard for Big Tech on the market.

Foreword to Microsoft

Some foreword to Microsoft because it’s our biggest competitor: We respect Microsoft. I highly appreciate the foundation work which you did for the IT world, the standards which you set and the participation which you did for the Open source world. I value that you don’t “crawl up the ass” (how we would say it in German) of Donald Trump and his authoritarian regime – Like the other Big Techs. I respect Bill Gates and the philanthropic work which he is doing. I like everybody which I know from Microsoft.

Still there are some key differences between us: We want to democratize the software landscape and without proprietary source code. Off course we don’t mind getting rich by doing it, but our code MUST be open source – No discussion.

On the other hand; You are an American company. This was already in the past a disadvantage, because we Europeans could never really trust, that the NSA isn’t involved somewhere and that you don’t do espionage for your government. We never could be sure that you don’t redirect our data instantly to your government. Nobody is responsible for their parents and heritage, but de facto your state has an abusive relationship with you. You can’t leave this toxic relationship as hard as you will try and now with Donald Trump in power you can be used as a tool against democracy – Also if you try to resist against it.

The last thing to our relationship; We are living in a capitalist world. Capitalism has advantages and disadvantages. One advantage of capitalism is that theoretical on a free market the most inexpensive and best product wins. But to reach this result, competition on the market is required. You have a de facto monopol. We will challenge this monopol in the interest of the consumer and democracy.

But we’re open for negotiations – If you all0w us to put our software under MIT License, allow us the be independent and self managed we will give you some shares and use your distribution channels. We want to be an independent company with an independent structure based and registered in Europe.

How does 20.000.000.000 € sound for 20% on our shares? It’s less than 25% of your net profit in the year 2024?

History

Pairprogramming with Berlin Marko on the Sphinx Role of CyMaIS

A little history to CyMaIS\Infinito.Nexus. It isn’t a new software, it grew over the last years and I used it mainly to manage my business server setups. I already had in my mind, that I could make a lot of money with it, but I enjoyed my job as Agile Coach too much. I enjoyed the free time and the freedom after my 9 to 5 freelancing job.

Over the last years the economical crisis in Germany became bigger and I recognized, that it isn’t as easy and as much fun anymore to work in the field of company transformations.

So in January I decided to go “full in” and just work on the software – With all risks which it brings. In the last month it was a permanent struggle of Software Engineer Kevin vs. Business Kevin. The most of the time (or let’s better say all the times), Software Engineer Kevin won. So I developed an almost perfect software but I didn’t sell it to customers.

Infrastructure Setup Business Cases

My primary idea was to focus on the B2B sector and specially schools, because they are a huge market.

Me in the C-Base 2025-01-28

On the 29th of March I presented CyMaIS during the Hack’n Tell event in the C-Base and after some chats during black light table tennis, Aleksandra decided to join the project. She started working on a commision base to acquire schools as customers – This was our initial business idea. 10-20k for a school setup and 150 per month extra for server maintenance costs.

Additional we also thought about setting IT-Infrastructure for KMU’s in the DACH area.

Business Case A: Educational Sector DACH

One Time Setup Fee
Yearly Maintenance fees

Business Case B: KMU’s DACH

One Time Setup Fee
Yearly Maintenance Fees

Over the last month I recognized that customers aren’t interested in fixed setup fees and variable update costs. They are interested in fixed prices per user and easy pricing modells. Also the setup of our services on dedicated servers is off course more person intensive.

re:publia

My COO, pushed me to get into contact with customers. So I checked on Monday the 26th of Mai out which business exhibitions exist and I was shocked that the re:publica had been started already.

So I got myself a ticket, jumped into a suit, onto my motorbike and went there. My idea was to acquire clients from the B2B sector for our software.

During this event I recognized that CyMaIS/Infinito.Nexus is much bigger then I thought. All politicians and activists requested an European Open Source solution which is an alternative to American BigTech – Not just for Business but also for Social Media. Exactly the solution which I already had due to my implementation of a SSO for all kind of Activity Pub Services and my encryption stack.

I talked with Ulrich Kelber, about my market ready a solution for the problems he described, but I had the feeling that he didn’t believe it.

I pitched the software a few times during this event, and people had been very enthusiastic about it – But afterwards instead of following the leads I continued developing and went back into my developer rabbit hole.

IONOS

One event during the re:publica will hopefully be in retrospective fruitful. I went to this talk on the re:publica.

Their I mentioned that I have a solutions for the problems which they discussed. Afterwards I had a short exchange with Arthur Mai about the software and he told that a cooperation between CyMaIS/Infinito.Nexus and IONOS could be possible.

I hope that Arthur didn’t forget me – Send him a few seconds ago a message on LinkedIn 😉

To be honest: At this point I didn’t know IONOS and I also didn’t have any picture in my mind how we could benefit from each other.

I was a bit blind. Since ages I have my professional servers at hetzner and a lot of Raspberry Pies running as Backup Servers. I didn’t know which European players dominate the server market. In the back of my mind their was the idea that I should contact IONOS but I didn’t have a strategy and a full business plan in my mind, neither a presentation ready. And in my perfectionism I wanted to be well prepared.

But thanks to my annoying COO I was “voluntary” forced to go over the numbers again and analyse some business cases.

At the end I recognized, that we have one business case which could be really relevant for IONOS.

So let’s talk about…

Business Case C (Enduser Global )

Calculations for Business Case C

Business Case C is our prefered strategy to follow. I could also walk you through the other cases, but why should I show you scenarios with ~ 200.000.000 €, or 3.000.000.000 € when we could milk the Cash Cow instantly?

How do we get to the number of

43.433.803.191,67 Euros

per year?

Easy done for everybody who has a little knowledge about Marketing, Business and Economics. We use the Big Mac Index.

Microsoft is our only competitor. Our software solution has much more tools then Microsoft included, but the usability isn’t perfect yet. So let’s assume our only market strategy would be to beat Microsoft by price.

Let’s assume that we will beat Microsoft just by price and not by our USP that it is a full Open Source Software Solution with more features then Microsoft can offer.

Microsoft Prices for Germany

How do we do this; ChatGPT gives us the prices for the Big Macs in the different trading zones in the world. To sell our product we have to multiply the price of the Big Mac in Germany by the factor 0,65. Our price in Germany sums up at 3,43 Euros. The same we apply for the Business Standard Modell. Here we use the factor 2,2 and end up with 10,85 Euros.

So also here we beat Microsoft by price. Anyhow; Next to beating them by price we will also beat them by quantity because we have already more solutions integrated then they use in their Microsoft 365 Business Standard package.

And beating them by quality is just a matter of time as soon as our Release Train is ready to run.

We also have an advertisement financed scenario as second income stream for users which aren’t willing to pay. This scenario is also bullet proof.

Costs

Our rough cost calculation assumes that in the first year we need around 15.345.950,- Euros to have all roles on the boat fulfilled; All developers to make our software scalable, to allow the bare team to continue the work on the non scalable version, develop an AI application, which allows us to integrate all existing open source applications automatic in our software and a team to optimize existing open source applications, so that they seamlessly integrated into our solution.

Also all of the other positions like Controlling, HR., Marketing, Help Desk, Lawyers, SM, PO, CEO, CMO, CTO, rent, severs etc. are covered by this. Off course we will later scale up more and more, but we will do it in an healthy speed. Anyhow it will be hard to find the best people for this challenge on the market.

What I want clarify here again: Our product is market ready

It’s just about continuing the journey and to guaranty that we have the software solution with the highest quality on the market.

Break Even

For Scenario D we assume that we need in the first year 15.345.950,00 Euro. A user would pay in average 4,33 Euros per month. This would mean yearly he pays 52,01 Euros. Now we just need to divide the 15.345.950,00 by 52.01 and we get 295.039 users. So from 295.039 Users we broke even and are in plus. In a world with more than 8 billion inhabitants that shouldn’t be to hard… Specially with an product like ours… Or? 😀

But let’s be a bit more realistic; In the above calculation we didn’t involve the costs for the server. So let’s assume that the costs for 100GB storage on a server are 1,50 Euros. For 1 TB it’s 5,- Euros. Here we took the numbers on the lower end, due to the reason that we will reach this low costs by quantity.

If we put this numbers into our calculation we get the following numbers:

This means: For the business Case D incl. server costs we end at 1.179.248 to reach break even. With the advertisement financed scenario we would just need around 341.921 users.

What now?

Our initial idea was to follow Business Case A or B. But scenario D, may as backup in combination with Business Case E seems the easiest solution. In this scenario we could harvest all grapes on the field.

Investor Strategy Alpha

If we could use the existing infrastructure of IONOS and/or Microsoft and their distribution network we would create the best synergy effects.

This would be the wish scenario, because it’s the least effort for me and we could scale this project up pretty fast.

Investor Strategy Bravo

Plan Bravo is to get investors in, which aren’t from the IT domain, but which see our potential. It’s not my favourite option because I prefer to work together with investors which don’t just bring money to the plate, but also connections and domain knowledge.

Investor Strategy Charlie

Alternativ C is to make some crowdfunding to set this up as an independent company. But as much as I like this idea from a grassroot movement perspective – This option will probably cost me the most nerves and I also need a break.

And if all off this options don’t work:

We’re creative and resilient people; I already warned my friends that I may need to crush on their couch if it takes longer than expected to get investors in. Be insured that this project will be an success. So let’s see where this adventure will lead us too!

Looking forward to shape the future together with you guys!
